La telenovela relata la vida de tres familias de diferentes clases sociales.
Primero están los Pérez Flores, que viven en Neza y está integrada por Ignacio, Julia y sus hijos Ronaldo y Wendy.
La segunda familia está integrada por Miranda Ortiz y su pequeño hijo Diego; viven en la colonia Roma en la casa de César Traven, un generoso anticuario de la tercera edad.
Y por último están Brenda Uriarte, su hermano Tony, su madrastra Constanza y su hermanastra Sabrina, una familia de clase media alta.
