On June 24, 2010, he appeared as a guest on the comedy talk-show, The Green Room with Paul Provenza. Patricio Escartín Murillo es estudiante de Cine de la Escuela Nacional de Artes Cinematográficas (ENAC) de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). En 2019 dirigió su primer cortometraje llamado El hijo bastardo (2019), el cual fue seleccionado en dos festivales en línea. En aquel periodo fue reconocido por su labor de investigación cinematográfica al ganar el Primer Lugar en el Programa de Jóvenes hacia la Investigación organizado por la Escuela Nacional Preparatoria de la UNAM. Posteriormente estudió en el Colegio de Literatura Dramática y Teatro de la UNAM, mientras trabajaba como asistente de producción en productoras audiovisuales como Guayabo Films y Landia, haciendo diversos videoclips. Durante la pandemia continuó su formación en línea tomando diferentes cursos de cine hasta su ingreso a la ENAC en 2021. Desde su estancia en la escuela de cine, Patricio ha participado en diferentes cortometrajes tanto estudiantiles como independientes desempeñando diferentes roles del quehacer cinematográfico, entre las que destacan la dirección y asistencia de cinefotografía, la producción, el sonido directo y la asistencia de dirección. Recientemente, Patricio tuvo la oportunidad de participar en el BJX Festival Internacional de Cine de Guanajuato como representante de la ENAC en el Lab//Kinoroom 2023. Además forma parte del jurado preseleccionador del Festival Internacional de Cine de Léon de este año. Patricio continúa con su formación cinematográfica tomando diversos cursos en estancias culturales como Cineteca Nacional o Casa Negra, además de que se encuentra preparando su primer cortometraje documental con la ENAC como director de cine. Actualmente está por cursar el quinto semestre de la Licenciatura en Cinematografía, donde quiere especializarse en el área de Realización de Ficción.
