Terrifier 2: El Payaso Siniestro (2022)

(CASTELLANO) Si la primera entrega de Terrifier ya era un espectáculo de gore sin sentido, su secuela no hace más que elevar la apuesta en cuanto a duración, violencia y exceso, sin aportar nada realmente valioso al género slasher.
Es cierto que esta segunda parte tiene una producción más cuidada, mejores efectos especiales y una calidad visual superior, lo que deja claro que contó con más presupuesto. También intenta desarrollar una mínima historia en torno a sus protagonistas, pero el resultado es torpe y casi irrelevante cuando la película se dedica exclusivamente a mostrar asesinatos cada vez más brutales.
Art the Clown sigue siendo una presencia inquietante, pero su sadismo gratuito y la ausencia total de lógica en su comportamiento hacen que el personaje sea más una herramienta de impacto que un villano memorable. La película se alarga innecesariamente, perdiendo cualquier posibilidad de generar tensión real.
Para los fanáticos del gore más extremo, puede ser un festín visual. Para el resto, es simplemente otra entrega que confunde el terror con la brutalidad sin propósito.
(ENGLISH) If the first Terrifier was already a mindless gorefest, its sequel only amplifies the excess in length, violence, and brutality, without adding anything meaningful to the slasher genre.
It's true that this second installment has a more polished production, better special effects, and improved visual quality, clearly benefiting from a higher budget. It also attempts to develop a minimal storyline around its main characters, but the result is clumsy and ultimately irrelevant when the film is entirely focused on delivering increasingly gruesome kills.
Art the Clown remains an unsettling figure, but his gratuitous sadism and the complete lack of logic behind his actions turn him into a mere shock tool rather than a memorable villain. The film drags on unnecessarily, stripping away any chance of building real tension.
For fans of extreme gore, this might be a visual treat. For everyone else, it's just another film that mistakes terror for meaningless brutality.
