Tomoya, Aoi, y Ryo son estudiantes de secundaria que se conocieron por internet. Una leyende urbana habla de un "fanstasma de verano", el espíritu de una chica que aparece cuando enciendes fuegos artificiales. Tomoya no puede vivir la vida que quiere, Aoi no puede encontrar su lugar en el mundo y Ryo no podrá cumplir sus planes a futuro. Cada uno tiene sus motivos por el cual quieren conocer al fantasma.
